  1. A very apt sentiment for this Advent and Solstice season. Sending you and yours Light and Love this Yuletide.

  2. All you need is love…

  3. warmth, cheer, depth, breadth and height to you and your dear ones this blessed season of remembering…

that we are not JUST what is born from man and woman…

many many blessings in return for your many gifts, bestowed so selflessly in our names…

    mary 😉

  4. Hey Julia ~

Reminds me of a line from the book, “True Grit” by Charles Portis

“Enough is as good as a feast”

Let’s all be thankful and kind to those less fortunate this Holiday season.

I wanted to share this song and heartfelt lyrics with you as I thought you would enjoy them.

Please read them while the song plays if you can.

Have a great Christmas and a very Happy New Year

Every Hour Here ~ The Innocence Mission

    We ride our bikes
around the circle in the cemetery,
I wave up to you on the Cross.
Am I to come upon You suddenly…like this forever?
Happy, relieved that You are here
and I can see you, I can feel you?

    You are like the ticket-half
I find inside the pocket of my old leaf-raking coat.
There all the time, all the while,
I so often seem to leave you
    in churches
    and other islands.
    And on my beads
where I can see you, I can feel you.

    where I can see you…

    I take the ticket-half
and put it on the table, saying,
    This is God
and He’s here through my comings
    and my goings.
But I walk past the ticket-half,
And I walk past the ticket-half.
    I walk past the ticket-half
just as I’ve walked past the Cross on our wall.

Our self-importance grows so dazzling we don’t see
you, dazzling we don’t see you, dazzling we don’t see

But Gentle Jesus, aren’t you always,
    aren’t you every hour here…

  5. Hi Matt,

I am not a fan of organized religion. It has caused more harm than good. For me, this time of the year is about honoring nature as divine. The Winter Solstice is a very Sacred time that was honored all over the world before being erradicated by religion. Thankfully, many have refused to give their Divine birthright to religions and have held on to truly Sacred practices like honoring Solstices and Equinoxes.

  6. Julia ~

Neither am I and I agree whole heartedly with you.

This song just gives me a cozy feeling so I thought I’d share 🙂

    The line…

“Our self-importance grows so dazzling we don’t see
you”…could be about anything or anyone but for me highlights just how selfish we can be sometimes.

This is a time to think of others and not just ourselves.

    Blessings right back atcha…

  10. Hi Julia,

    Thank you for your work.

“There is no measure of what you have done
Walking with you in Buddha’s gentle rain
    Our robes are soaked through,
    But on the lotus leaves
    Not a drop remains.”

  12. Hi Julia,

    “When all else fails…..

    Love anyway.”

Why wait to love when all else fails?

Love is more than a fallback Plan B, a balm for a wounded soul when things fail.
    Love PREVENTS things from failing!
Love GUARANTEES success in ALL things.

As a Tantric Yoga teacher, failure in anything-work, relationships, creativity-means an absence of love.
Whereas true success in anything-success that’s good for the person as well as society-shouts “Love is here!”

From your “The Mess That is Me” post, you’re going through hard times- emotional & physical.
Today, your life message seems to be:
“Well, I’ve tried just about everything and I’m still failing. I might as well try love, since nothing else works.”

Tap into the universal success power of love!
Love proactively. Love changes the future-encourages success, eliminates failure.
    Nothing succeeds like love.

Today, Christmas Day, I will send you some powerful Yoga Love to start off your 2011 with a bang!

And maybe soon, you’ll write a follow-up blog:

    Because Sometimes Love is More:

“When all else succeeds…Love every way”

  13. As this year of many changes closes out, thinking back and recalling the muses and chosen voices of wisdom meaningful in my journey, your name is high on the list.

    Thank you.

Peace & all good things to you in the coming year.
